In the arts, life is an ever-evolving, joyous journey. "Creative Wayfinding" covers a wide range of artistic activities in my life! Illustrator, Artist/Branding Consultant, Writer, Conceptual Clay and Tile Artist... Many hats, all interwoven by a lifetime of working with concepts related to communication due to overlapping professional corporate creative and visual artist careers.

WRITING: see my monthly art/lifestyle column in Rapid River Arts & Culture Magazine - www.rapidrivermagazine.com. I have been a monthly contributing writer with them since August of 2009, and it has been such a wonderful gift to get to write for them.

ARTIST/BRANDING CONSULTING:
My career in corporate design in a wide variety of areas both large and small has allowed me to consult with artists on their personal branding/identity, as well as on select marketing and PR functions. My desire is to help folks establish their brand, and a creative plan, and then refer them to local resources for their next needs in the pipeline, such as design, photography, marketing, printing and PR. Contact me any time to discuss your project!

Profile and Credentials

Lifelong artist, currently living and creating in the beautiful, mysterious mountains of Western North Carolina, in the cultural gem of a city: Asheville.

Bachelor of Fine Arts, Concentration, Graphic Design. Corporate and freelance career in design/art direction/art administration. All my activities and skill sets and experiences influence one another. My illustrations are about communicating through flow, color, expression and words. In ceramics, I focus on de-volving/simplicity and interactive communication concepts, and tile design. With design and artist consulting, I focus on Branding. In writing, my topics range from art and artist issues to inspirational suggestions and observations (see my monthly column in Rapid River Arts & Culture Magazine - www.rapidrivermagazine.com).

Philosophy and Comments

I like ideation, brainstorming, and just jumping into an art project with thoughts and art supplies flying. I believe every artistic expression is something flowing THROUGH us. I love yellow. I love words. I love drawing. When I'm drawing, everything else recedes and the universe lets me just Be, and Make, and Enjoy. Everything feels like it's moving towards Good, with No Fear, and lots and lots of Love.

Whether with illustrations, or "Meditation/Keepsake" bowls, or tiles, or consulting with artists, it's all about peace and love, and connection.

I donate 10% of my art sales proceeds to Craft Emergency Relief Fund (craftemergency.org), which assists artists and crafters in crisis, and with emergency preparedness.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule
